As Town Manager, Susan leads the regeneration of Thetford on behalf of Thetford Town Council and represents the town at conferences and business events. Her job is to seek funding for projects, boost the local economy and support local businesses, organise events and manage the tourist information centre.
Together with Sharon, Susan was responsible for setting up Thetford Women In Business Forum and has continued to drive it to the level it has reached today.
Susan says: “My aim was to provide a Forum where businesswomen from the Thetford area can meet to share ideas and enjoy support and encouragement in their business lives. We also organise events such as the trip to the House of Commons to provide members with opportunities they may not otherwise have had access to.
I am delighted to be involved with the WIB and consider it to be a vital part of both my professional and personal life.”
