I've been working on the graphics for the next exhibition at Lynn Museum - King's Lynn on the Map.
It's takes a look at King's Lynn through various maps, photos and objects.
There's some great maps including one from 1892 that was used as part of a campaign by the Temperance Movement, an example of a map with a political purpose. I love the fact it was 'published for the purpose of showing at a glance the exact position of the Drink Traffic in the Borough of King's Lynn'. Here's a detail of Norfolk Street, which I believe is still today a local street for drinking!
The exhibition opens 27 April and runs until 25 January 2014.
