Along with all the vintage steam engines, there's also slightly more up to date exhibits, with classic cars, honda goldwings along with main ring events, this year the star was Flyin Ryan Motorcycle Stuntshow and there's so much more that goes on over the three days! It was great to see lots of people enjoying themselves,. I design the programme and I'm also involved in helping to promote the Rally, so it's always good to see the weekend going well and with perfect sunny weather - we couldn't of asked for more.
Friday is traditionally Schools Day and approximately 1000 school children attended the show, learning about the heritage of steam and having fun on the Rally site. Crowds flocked in over the weekend with approx 10,000 visitors enjoying the show.
Here's some of the magnificent steam engines that attended the rally this year...
I was also lucky enough to take a helicopter ride over the Rally site and surrounding area, although sat in the front I was the wrong side to get a full view of the Rally form the air - but is was very enjoyable seeing the Brecks from above!
